Eija-Liisa Ahtila: PARALLEL WORLDS
'Parallel Worlds presents the latest works by Eija-Liisa Ahtila (1959–). In her multi-channel video works, Ahtila uses pictures, sounds and stories to create installations in which perspectives change and the viewers are able to participate in the construction of a cinematic experience. Ahtila’s most recent works explore the relations between humans, animals and the natural world as seen through the perspectives of bio-politics and post-humanism. Essays by Daniel Birnbaum, Alison Butler, Leevi Haapala, Cary Wolfe, and artist's interview by Lena Essling. The catalogue and exhibition is produced by Moderna Museet, Stockholm, in cooperation with Kiasma. Fully illustrated catalogue designed by Ida Wessel and published by Steidl, 200 pages. '
